Calculators allow you to save values in memory, but are limited to a few values and require that you remember what is stored in memory. Calc Brain uses the standard Table list interface to describe and organize your memory values. Tab views allow full customization and allows you to group entires. Landscape mode will display additional functionality.
The basic free app will allow you to store up to 3 different values. Attempts to use some functions will require an additional purchase.
The In-App purchase will enable the following:
- Unlimited memory values
- Ability to lock a value from modification, so you cannot accidentally add to it.
- Allow time calculations
You can use stored values for various calculations that you often perform, such as calorie counting, games scores, or conversions.
Press on the Info icon to set up the options and to purchase the additional feature. Purchase requires a link to the App Store, so a prior purchase will avoid the troubles of not being able to save a value when you have no connection.
When you press m+ or m-, the current value will add or subtract to item you select in the table. You can select multiple items or add multiple times. Values that are locked will be grayed out and cannot be changed.
When you press and hold the mrc for one second, the mc mode is started upon release of the button. This mode will allow you to zero memory entries value, but retain the text.
When you press mrc you can recall, delete, or edit entries. In edit mode, you can organize items, and select for modification. The lock mode is only available if you purchase the additional memory feature.
Use the tab bar on the bottom to select the current active Group. You can name the groups, and add as many as you want, but only four can be shown on the bar at a time.
